Jessica Rose, founder of the acclaimed London Jewellery School in the heart of Hatton Garden, has been nominated for the prestigious Natwest Everywoman awards. Jessica is in the Artemis category, which recognises the achievements of women aged 25 and under who are running their own businesses.

The London Jewellery School, which Jessica established in 2009, initially offered just one class a month from a community school in Dulwich. However, since moving to Hatton Garden, the school now offers 80 different classes, all taught by professional tutors, and is achieving an annual turnover of almost £500,000.

Karen Gill, co-founder of Everywoman, said of the awards: “We have been fortunate over the past ten years to be introduced to a huge number of inspirational, successful women and this year’s finalists again have wowed us with their achievements. Many more women are turning to enterprise during the economic downturn, realising how satisfying and rewarding it can be and I hope that by highlighting our amazing finalists this year more will be encouraged to follow in their footsteps.”

Jessica’s achievements are certainly worthy of celebration, and everyone here at Hatton Garden will be rooting for her when the winners are announced on 5th December. Good luck Jessica!
