The method of engraving
Be it presentational, sporting, commemorative or heraldic, you will not find a more enriching method of engraving than hand engraving. Most precious metal items can be hand engraved. We can carry out all your artwork requirements such as the layout of inscriptions, designing cyphers or monograms, heraldic designs, etc. To help you in choosing a font style for engraving please refer to our Style card.
No engraving job is the same
The style card should be used as a guide only, no one job is the same, consequently, each new design will be scaled up or down to suit the size and shape of the item. Each item engraved will be quoted on an individual basis. Almost all our trophies and awards are suitable for engraving, some of the information you should consider including would be club name and logo, competition/tournament name, winners name and date. We have over 1500 font engraving styles available, the most common font groups are Block, Roman, Script and Old English. We will always do artwork for your approval before commencing with the engraving.
Plinth and plinth band
Most trophy cups also allow for a separate plinth and plinth band that can be engraved. Plinths not only bring additional prestige to a trophy but also serve a practical purpose. The plinth can be used to engrave and record subsequent winners’ names and dates.
